Didactic methodology and pedagogical models in pre-university education of Community of Madrid

Abstract:

This article shows how today educational freedom achieved centuries ago reaches a high level of development within the educational context of Community of Madrid. The methodological diversity of this context becomes reality in different pedagogical models which are embraced by some schools at pre-university stages. Thus, from different approaches to educational process, they contribute to the comprehensive training of students. It is true that traditional school is a model prevailing in our educational area. However, having in mind the pedagogical innovative models emerged throughout the 20th century and by adapting the didactic methodologies to the new times we give an opportunity to educational experiences which try to provide traditional schools with an alternative that indisputably enhances our present educational scenery.

Resumen:

El presente artículo refleja como el principio de libertad de enseñanza alcanzado siglos atrás, adquiere hoy o día un alto grado de desarrollo en el contexto educativo de la Comunidad de Madrid. Un contexto, que se caracteriza por una diversidad metodológica que se concreta en múltiples modelos pedagógicos a los que se adhieren algunas escuelas de las etapas preuniversitarias para, desde diferentes interpretaciones del proceso educativo, contribuir al proceso de formación integral del alumnado. Es cierto que el modelo dominante en nuestro ámbito educativo es el de la escuela tradicional, sin embargo como recuerdo de los modelos pedagógicos innovadores que surgieron a lo largo del siglo XX y adaptando las metodologías didácticas que los caracterizan a los nuevos tiempos que corren, también nos encontramos con experiencias educativas que tratan de dar una alternativa a la escuela tradicional, una alternativa que añade, sin duda, riqueza al panorama educativo actual.
